In Memoriam
John H. Rountree was born on May 7, 1955, in Wichita, KS. He earned a master's degree in petroleum geology from Oklahoma State University in 1979, and the oil and gas industry became his life's work. More than an oilman, however, John was a devoted family man, a rancher, a 5th-degree black belt in karate and a follower of Jesus Christ. He lived out his faith in both actions and words, always ready to encourage and always ready to help in any way he could. John served on the board of directors for the Omoribe Project, Inc. from 2016 to the time of his death on April 22, 2026. We were privileged to serve alongside him and will always be grateful for his friendship and leadership.
